A Family Built on Four Paws
I am Vitoria and my husband is Jonathan, we are the founders of JVJ Chihuahua. We want to introduce ourselves and how our name and program originated. When Jonathan and I met, he had a pack of canines of different breeds and one of them was a senior chihuahua, his name was Sargeant, he rescued him; he almost ran over him because Sargeant was blind, he was so cute, long haired, and fluffy. I loved Sargeant, except for his constant barking...lol. He was super cute; I took care of him and loved him till his last day with us. Jonathan would also share stories about his other chihuahua which he also rescued, his name was Jasper, he was short haired and black; Jasper was loved till the end. My husband talked so lovingly about his chihuahuas that my desire awakened to get a chihuahua puppie for our family. For my husband's birthday I got him Lia, our first chihuahua. She was supposed to be for him yet she became very close to me, she and I became best buddies...lol.
As a young child I grew up with French poodles, it was my mother's passion before she got her first miniature pincher. Growing up with dogs and puppies inspired me to be a veterinarian; it was my childhood dream, this dream is still alive in my heart. Jonathan grew up with silky terriers and loves all animals, he too wanted to be a veterinarian; life takes many turns and circumstances change taking you to a different path. Lia is so precious and loving that it lead us to a greater love for chihuahuas. We then decided to add two new members to our family, Leo and Luna. Having them with us, enjoying and loving them I developed deep in my heart the desire to become a breeder. We love puppies and our passion for chihuahua puppies keeps growing deeper. After we conversed and considered all the pros and cons, we decided to venture into a new journey in our lives, to become chihuahua breeders giving others the opportunity to enjoy these breed of puppies. We are a small breeding program, Jonathan works full time, we have a five year old son who also loves animals very much. We are a busy family and because we enjoy and have such love for our animals we make time to be with our fur babies. We work very hard and give our best effort and best care to assure that our mamas, papas, and puppies are healthy. To conclude our story the name JVJ Chihuahua was born with the idea to join our three first initials, Jonathan, Vitoria, and the first initial of our son which is also J. All breeders create their names from different ideas and backgrounds. We wanted recognition as a simple but important symbol for our family, as this is our wish and goal.
